Ssri antidepressants
Antidepressants are some of the most used medicines all over the world. One of the available types of antidepressants are SSRI antidepressants. SSRI is an abbreviation for Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor. It is a commonly prescribed drug that is used for treating the people who suffer from depression. The SSRI antidepressants affect the chemicals that the nerves present in the brain use for sending messages. These chemicals are called as neurotransmitters. This chemical is released by one nerve and is taken up by another nerve. Neurotransmitters are taken up only by the nerve that is supposed to take it and not by any other nerve. This process is known as ‘Reuptake’. SSRI antidepressants work as a result of the reuptake of serotonin. This mechanism causes for the release of larger quantities of serotonin so that it can be taken up by numerous other nerves. The most trivial as well as eminent SSRI antidepressants that are prescribed by doctors are sertraline (Zoloft), paroxetic (Paxil) or fluoextine (Prozac). All of these SSRI antidepressants were found to be very effective as a result of a study that was conducted. It is believed that all the three antidepressants give the same effect and therefore switching from one of these three SSRI antidepressants to another does not produce any problems as they are believed to have equivalent effectiveness. SSRI antidepressants represent a group of antidepressant drugs used in treating depression. These are used to cure other conditions such as panic disorder, bulimia and obsessional disorder. SSRI antidepressants affect mainly the neurotransmitter known as serotonin. The balance of serotonin as well as other neurotransmitters plays the key role in causing depression as well as other conditions. Sometimes depression is also triggered due to bereavement, illness and redundancy. Depression has no significant reason to trigger and the symptoms include sad feeling, sleeping problem, low mood, irritability, poor appetite, less sex drive, energy loss, poor concentration, headaches, palpitations, guilt feelings and pains. The rate of success of SSRI antidepressants in curing other conditions is also found to be effective. SSRI antidepressant works in 2 to 4 weeks. The antidepressants cannot be stopped abruptly as they may show serious effects. This medication should be taken each day as per the prescription. The dose should be reduced gradually and should be put an end slowly. The different types of SSRI antidepressants are escitalopram, citalopram, fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, sertraline and paroxetine. There may be some common side effects such as sick feeling, headache, vomiting and diarrhea. Initially they may be mild, but slowly the side effects wear off within a week.

What is the most popular blood group
Majority of us know about the blood groups as it is being inherited from the parents. It is also widely known that the blood transfusion between two people is possible only if they have similar blood groups. Determining the blood groups is done by antigens, a protein. The antigens are located on the red blood cells surface and these antigens are referred to as complex chemicals that are located on the surface and are unique for each blood group. The important blood groups are the ABO and Rhesus systems that are indicated as Rh. It is tough to find the perfect figure of the common blood types in the world as it varies from one place to another. The blood types A, O, AB or B are different in each individual. The distributions in individual countries as well as regions are fairly in the ABO and Rh Blood Type Frequencies. The United States indicates O+ to be the most common and popular blood group in the U.S., and this is followed closely by the blood group A+. Conversely, the data reported by the Blood Book on the Racial as well as the Ethnic Distribution of blood group ABO indicates there are geographic and ethnic variations. The O positive is the major blood group and signifies to be also one of the significant blood groups. This being the popular blood group, people having this group have immune systems that they dislike A, AB or B proteins. The O blood group is the only type of blood that can be donated with confidence. This blood type gets along very well as it does not have any important proteins to attack. While, on the other hand, even spending maximum time in situations having high-velocity and in case the chances for losing massive blood is expected in the future, it is ideal to be AB positive. The point that O is a universal donor is widely accepted and very well known. Similarly, AB positive is one of the universal recipient and they can accept the blood available from all people that have accepted from the universal donor. It is also stated in a document that one can change the blood type of a person by irradiating the bone marrow and transplant it from a donor having a different blood type. Hence, if you desire to commune in the universe, you should considers one of these blood groups so that things work smoothly. This leads to no serious complications and things work as per the desire.

Anxiety and bipolar disorder
Bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression, is a mood disorder and is characterised by typical mood swings which swing between extremes of mania and depression. These moods last for abnormal amounts of time, lasting anywhere from a week to a month or even more. During a mood episode, a person with bipolar disorder experiences symptoms characteristic of both moods. In mania some of the symptoms include feeling euphoric, optimistic, reckless, impulsive, hyper-active, decreased need to sleep, irritable, rapid speech, hallucinations, delusions etc. Some symptoms for depression include lethargy, increased sleep, lack of concentration and attention, distractedness, aggressiveness, suicidal ideation etc. While the above mentioned symptoms are now known to be part of bipolar disorder, one symptom that was mentioned as far back as 1921 is anxiety. Anxiety and bipolar disorder have long been studied and some controversy exists as to whether anxiety really is one of the core symptoms of bipolar disorder. Anxiety and bipolar disorder can exist in one of two ways. In one situation anxiety and bipolar disorder are co-morbid conditions - which means that the person has bipolar disorder as well as a separate anxiety condition (as recognised by the Diagnostic Statistical Manual- IV TR) which implies two separate conditions existing together. This situation can be tricky because both the conditions will require different medication, something is not usually recommended. Another problem is that the anti-depressants used to treat an anxiety disorder often make the condition of bipolar disorder worse. In the second condition anxiety is the result of bipolar disorder and as a rule should go away when the condition is treated. If anxiety and bipolar disorder exist as cause and effect, there are certain manifestations specific to bipolar disorder. Most patients experiencing anxiety and bipolar disorder will describe it as feeling agitated. This is obvious in actions such as tapping their foot on the floor when talking, picking or chewing their nails, finding it difficult to sit in one place and constantly jumping in and out of the chair etc. While these are external behaviours, some patients with anxiety and bipolar disorder also complain of feeling like they’re going to explode or that there is too much energy in their skin etc. They also mention racing thoughts or disorganised thinking where they are unable to keep their mind on one thing for more than a few seconds. Usually people with anxiety and bipolar disorder find that even though they may realise the extent of their illness, they are unable to explain it to anyone else. This is because there is no obvious physical manifestation and this can worsen the anxiety. Anxiety and bipolar disorder can form a vicious cycle since many people find that alcohol settles their symptoms. With time this can lead to substance abuse, which just serves to worsen the entire situation.

Changing antidepressants linked to suicide
Depression is one of the most common things in the life of any human being. However, it has a lot of bad effects. This is one of the reasons why people who have depression try to relieve themselves as soon as possible. There are several methods to do this and one of these methods involves the applications of antidepressants. Antidepressants are found to have a positive effect on the people who use them. They are found even to have a positive effect in decreasing the chances of suicide. Suicide is also one of the effects of depression. As antidepressants relieve depression, the chances of a person committing suicide are very less. Countries that use antidepressants widely are found to have a very low suicide rate. Antidepressants are found to reduce the risk of suicidal behavior in all the age groups of people. It has been discovered that the most number of suicides are recorded by the people who are in between the age groups of 18 to 25 years. The people who belong to other age groups have very less probabilities of committing suicide. This is because that is the age when a person faces a lot of problems and therefore they face a lot of depression. The latest data recommended that there is a steep decline in the suicidal rate owing to the developments of antidepressant drugs. Though, the antidepressant medicines are available in great varieties, consulting the doctor and following the recommendation is essential. Similarly, leaving people with depression completely untreated is risky. Though, recently some critics indicated that the usage of Prozac, Zoloft and Paxil drugs to have great effects and this resulted in decline of these medications. Eventually the suicidal numbers reached from 34 to 51. Critics have a feeling that the medical industry is trying to pull their numbers up with these medicines, yet the record of suicide numbers also gives evidence of the importance of these medicines. Antidepressant drugs are useful to bring out people from depression. Though, they may initially face some side effects, this will subside gradually within 4 to 5 weeks. People facing depression lead to suicide as well as their mental status is totally disturbed. Changing antidepressants are linked to suicide is felt because the numbers of suicide is found to be decreasing as the antidepressant drugs reduce the feeling of depression and calm the mind. The antidepressant drugs relax the mind to a great extent and bring the patient from the thought of suicide. However, it is not that all the antidepressant drugs are identical, if some drug is taken in overdose, the result may be lethal. So caution should be one of the main concerns.

Statistics of blood donation in every age group
Blood donation is one of the processes that are being carried out in many places and a person can voluntarily agree for blood donation intentionally. The blood donated is useful in transfusions and it can also be separated as single components. The blood donation is of many kinds. The developed countries have donors who are unpaid and donate blood to replenish the supply. In poor countries, blood donation is done on demand as the blood ties are restricted. This may include cash or incentives but for money or even an altruistic act. The world health organization in 1997 set a target that the blood donors should be unpaid volunteers. The 2006, statistics showed that nearly 49 out of 124 countries have accomplished this target. It is a need for all the potential donors to donate blood. Minors can donate with their parental consent. Some countries demand the ethnic background before accepting the blood from the donor. Potential donors are examined physically and a medical history is also checked. The blood screening is done to verify for other diseases that can get transmitted during blood donations such as AIDS and viral hepatitis. Blood donation is safe and easy. Some may experience pain when the blood is drawn and some may faint. The frequency depends of various factors from days to month. The collection of blood may be done manually or using automated equipments. The donor donating blood can vary from days to months depending on the component of the blood as well as the country laws. Blood components exhibit short shelf life and hence steady supply of piling blood is a perennial problem. Donating blood is certainly a noble cause and a gesture filling with happiness. This humanitarian act tides the barriers and is the best way to express the care and love for fellow beings. The Voluntary donors are intensely motivated and do it as a self-less service. The identity is also hidden. Camps are being conducted and many donors come to donate blood. The Replacement donors are the donors donate blood during emergency regardless of the blood group. This is common in developing countries. They donate blood and in turn acquire the required blood group. Professional donors exchange for cash or incentives at frequent intervals. However, it is essential to ensure that the donors are fit medically to donate their blood. They are examined to ascertain that they are free from any serious disease. The hemoglobin levels are also tested. Anemic donors are not accepted. The BP, pulse rate and the temperature is evaluated before donating. Similarly, elderly people and pregnant women are discouraged from blood donation.
